Workster is partnering with a leading client in the financial technology sector to find a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Developer. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing, and maintaining quantitative tools, models, and applications to support trading, risk management, and financial research initiatives. Your Role:
- Design, develop, and maintain quantitative models, libraries, and analytical tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Python, Excel VBA, and SQL.
- Collaborate with quants, analysts, and traders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance development workflows.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and stability in a Linux-based environment.
- Debug, monitor, and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to uphold high coding standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in quantitative development.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python programming, with experience using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Advanced VBA skills for building and maintaining Excel-based financial models.
- Strong SQL experience for querying and managing relational databases.
- Expertise in Linux systems, including shell scripting and process management.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Familiarity with source control systems like Git.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Understanding of risk management, trading strategies, or financial modeling concepts.
